Our room at the ryokan was spacious and comfortable, with tea, slippers, and yukatas provided. The onsen was large and relaxing, especially the outside onsen. The staff was friendly and offered a free taxi service to the station. We had a great experience overall.

The ryokan we stayed at was simply amazing. We really enjoyed the authentic Japanese meals with a lot of variety and the fantastic collection of sakes at the bar. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we absolutely loved the traditional Japanese room we stayed in. the staff were very considerate and helpful and, to top it off, there was a shuttle service to take us back to the station on departure.
The location of the ryokan was a bit far from town, and the public showers at the hot springs were not ideal. Although we appreciated the cleanliness of the rooms, having to use a public shower without privacy wasn't very comfortable.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a traditional ryokan in Matsumoto. The hotel offers a mix of traditional and modern rooms, and I stayed in a beautiful traditional Japanese room with tatami mats. The attention to detail in the room was impeccable, with wooden beams and a cozy feel. The highlight for me was the private onsen bath, which was perfect to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The location of the hotel was also very convenient, being close to the town centre and within easy reach of popular attractions like Matsumoto Castle.
My experience at this hotel was outstanding. No improvements needed.
